SCEN’s Smart Factory is an advanced facility that represents the beating heart of the entire production cycle. Designed to guarantee the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability, it offers a technologically advanced environment, ideal for meeting the needs of the most regulated sectors.
The Smart Factory covers a total surface area of 5,000 sqm and is divided into 18 thematic areas, each optimized for specific production processes.
Every area of the Smart Factory is monitored to maintain controlled levels of temperature, humidity, microparticles and CO₂, ensuring conditions similar to those of a cleanroom. This supports production quality and compliance with the most rigorous standards, which are essential for the most regulated sectors.
Real-time monitoring systems also make it possible to intervene quickly to correct any deviations, ensuring production continuity and minimizing the risk of defects.
Safety is a priority at SCEN. The Smart Factory is equipped with advanced cybersecurity systems, video-monitored access and RFID pass protection for access control.
All personnel are involved in continuous health and safety checks and training courses. In addition, every EPA area is equipped with integrated testers for ESD, Electrostatic Discharge, protection, safeguarding electronic components from electrostatic discharges.
These technologies ensure a safe production environment for both people and products.
SCEN is committed to eco-sustainable production. The Smart Factory is powered by photovoltaic systems covering the entire roof area, reducing emissions and energy costs.
All process materials and components comply with environmental regulations, with very limited waste that is fully sorted and recycled. The entire facility is illuminated with internally developed LED systems, while temperature control is managed through high-efficiency heat pumps. Reflow ovens are also optimized to further reduce energy consumption.
These investments contribute to a low-impact production cycle, compliant with local and international environmental regulations, with RoHS3, REACH SVHC and conflict material compliant components and processes.
Thanks to its strategic location in the Ospo industrial area of Muggia-Trieste, just a short distance from the sea and the Italian-Slovenian border and easily accessible from the motorway, the Smart Factory offers efficient and fast logistics at the center of the enlarged European area.
